Season 23 (2025)
The 2025 series of Strictly Come Dancing launched on 20 September 2025 with Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman returning as hosts, and the judging panel again featuring Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke. All 18 professional dancers from the previous season returned, joined by two new pros: Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon. The celebrity lineup was diverse: contestants included actors, athletes, broadcasters, a Drag Race finalist, and notably Ellie Goldstein, the first contestant with Down’s syndrome to join the show. There were a few early twists. Kristian Nairn, initially announced, withdrew for health reasons and was replaced by Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope.
